Compliance with disability standards and helping clients achieve their goals whilst creating a fun and safe environment are at the forefront of Nicolette’s actions. Creativity was essential in Nicolette’s Transition to Retirement role where, in conjunction with Sydney University, she developed an innovative program for those employees’ approaching retirement. This involved working with many local not-for-profit organisations across Sydney who provided opportunities for a wide range of activities of interest to the participants. Nicolette was required to constantly liaise with these community organisations to assess the quality of the opportunities provided, assist her clients with all areas of transitioning into the group and ensuring her clients were continuing to experience a deep sense of belonging.
